That's right, you can't! After Maggie and Eric's beautiful ceremony lead by Maggie's Aunt, the guests began the party in Philadelphia's Manayunk neighborhood at the Manayunk Brewing Company - a great venue made even cooler by the awesome decor by Creative Eventology. We are excited to introduce you to our newest intern at Kyle Michelle Weddings, Kat! Kat is a junior at Rowan University, originally she was an Elementary Education major but realized that was not for her. She is now a Public Relations major, with advertising as a double major. Growing up with social media she has always loved following stores, bloggers, and event planners, and seeing the way that they promote their companies. Kat has always been really into shopping for clothes, makeup, and home decor. She loves following fashion bloggers and taking parts of their style and making it her my own. She and her mom always spend weekends looking for new decor to add to their home. She would love to be able to promote companies and help them to gain a following and will be a great addition to Kyle Michelle Weddings.

As we are preparing to not leave out houses for a few days we compiled some of our favorite winter wedding shots. These photographs are gorgeous and we hope that you can capture some moments like these if you happen to have a wedding this weekend! Snow does not have to put a damper on the day, it can make the day just that more special and unique! Sit down and cuddle up with something warm to drink and get lost in these photographs just like we did!
While we are eating our veggies trying to stick to our New Year's resolutions, we are also day dreaming about days past and sweets. To try and satisfy our cravings we have tracked down our favorite wedding cakes. Here are the cakes we have fallen in love with and are drooling over. In honor of today's National Championship Game, we thought you'd like these fun ways of including your alama mater into your big day! Check out these fun ideas! 1. Color palette For those of you who prefer to keep it simple, choosing your school's colors as the theme for your wedding is great way to show school spirit and take pride in your alma mater. This purple and orange color palette would be the perfect fall combo for any Clemson Tiger grad. 2. Engagement Photos Maybe you've already chosen the theme for your wedding, but you're still looking for a way to incorporate your alma mater. Engagement photos provide the perfect opportunity to do just that! Plus, this could be the perfect excuse to head back to campus and visit your favorite spots- making new memories that will last a lifetime! 3. Save the Date Save the dates are a totally unique way to show school spirit as it relates to your wedding. This is chance for you and your fiancé to be creative and have fun while you continue to plan for your big day! Go casual like this Texas A&M couple who revealed their date on a rally rag or think outside of the box like these Penn State grads who emulated a Nittany Lion football ticket! 4. Cuff Links Whether you are the bride-to-be, best man, or parents of the groom, surprising the groom with pair of cuff links from his alma mater is a gesture he is sure to appreciate. Not to mention, it's the perfect accessory to spruce up his wedding day ensemble. University of Alabama and University of Texas grads would love these timeless cuff links. 5. Garter Similar to cuff links, garters are a fun accessory to express individuality and/or love for your alma mater. Show some pride by rocking a garter with your school's colors or mascot; or, surprise your spouse by wearing a garter that represents their school! They'll be totally shocked when they go to take it off during the reception. Either way, it could be the perfect something blue or just the final touch you're looking for before you walk down the isle. 6. Pom Poms Instead of throwing rice, have your guests wave pom poms as you and your spouse leave the ceremony to enter the world as a newly married couple. Or, if you'd like, you can use them as you arrive and depart from the reception. No matter what you decide, your guests will enjoy themselves and they make for great pictures! 7. Wedding Photos Getting married on campus or live near your college town? Your alma mater could serve as the perfect backdrop for your wedding photos, be it before or after the ceremony. 8. Guestbook Throw the traditional guestbook out the window and grab your favorite jersey or college t-shirt to have guests sign! Frame it after the wedding and hang it up in your house to add a little spirit decor. Or if don't want to ruin your favorite shirt, use a sign related to your alma mater. Any one of these University of Michigan items would look great in a Wolverine home- and imagine how much more special they would be with signatures from friends and family! 9. Photo Booth If you opt for a photo booth, having props that represent your alma mater is great way to get guests in the "game day" spirit. Plus, fellow graduates are sure to love it! 10. Grooms Cake Grooms Cakes are becoming quite popular and what a creative way to show some appreciation for your soon-to-be husband! Any University of North Carolina grad would love this unique interpretation of a Tarheel and Mountaineers would take pride in this classic West Virginia University logo! Plus it's cake so, really, who wouldn't love it? 11. Cake Topper How adorable are these mascots as cake toppers? We're obsessed and what's especially nice about these is it doesn't matter whether you and your significant other went to the same school! They're so fun and such an awesome way to show school spirit. Check out Garden4Arts on Etsy for more details! 12. Favors You can never go wrong with dessert (...or food in general) so send your guests home with an alma mater inspired cookie! They'll be sure to thank you for this tasty treat after a fun-filled night. 13. Mascot Hiring your school's mascot to come take part in your wedding reception is a once in a lifetime opportunity! If you and your fiancé are die hard alumni, you should definitely consider trying to make it happen. It will be an unforgettable moment that you and your loved ones will cherish forever! 14. Fight Song Play your school's fight song to get you and your guests amped for the long night of partying ahead! Not only is this a great way to take pride in your alma mater, but a great way to get everyone up and on the dance floor! This is the perfect chance to show off your moves and will without a doubt have you feeling like you're back at school for game day. -Erin
