Where do I start? Lisa and Joe contacted us a few short months before their May wedding. They had recently moved into a beautiful house and wanted to celebrate their special day with family and friends all in their newly established home. We were more than excited to help them plan their one of a kind backyard wedding. Did I mention Lisa and Joe are extremely talented, artsy people who were more than enthusiastic to use their skills to make this DIY wedding perfect. All the centerpieces were created by Lisa with the help from her soon-to-be MIL. She found branches in the woods behind her house and created beautiful paper flowers to adorn them with. The branches were in stone filled mason jars and set in the middle of the long tables. She also added potted succulents, rocks and a paper flower runner. My favorite part had to be the place cards- they were small potted succulents with each guests name representing exactly where they would sit on the long farm style tables. Lisa and Joe designed their own invitations and #instagram cards tying in perfectly with the color and the idea of getting married in front of their beautiful coy pond in their backyard. Yep-I told you they were talented! As the guests sat overlooking the coy pond Lisa processed down the stone aisle accompanied by her father. It was beautiful! Now it's time to party! The kids had their own party happening in the basement- a great idea if you're having a lots of kids. They had their own food and DJ-perfect to keep 20 kids entertained and enjoying the night! While the kids partied, the adults ate amazing food and listened to a live band while enjoying the beautiful scenery. The groom even got in on the action-singing to his bride! The day was perfect, the decor was stunning and Lisa and Joe said "I DO" in front of family and friends in the comfort of their new home! Caterer: Fleur dy Lys Catering

With Father’s Day coming up, we gather with our families and cherish our fathers' and all that they have done. Sound familiar? At any wedding, the father-daughter dance is my favorite part. There is nothing your dad loves more than to see you glowing on your wedding day. Fathers hold their daughters close, smiling and crying as he prepares to give his daughter away. Tears will be shed when celebrating the newlywed, because she will always be his little girl. Have fun with it! Traditional father-daughter dances, to a meaningful song, are always beautiful. To be creative, though, you could shake your thang with your dad and light up the entire room. Pick a song you both love, his favorite song, or make a montage of fun dance songs for you to “bust your move” to. Even surprise the crowd and create a flash mob having the bridal party join in. By nature, the father daughter dance is a little bit sappy. If you spice it up, however, there won't be a dry eye in the house, but this time from laughter. Music, excitement, and laughter only enhance this memory as daddy lets his little girl go. Choosing a tired song that your guests have heard at every wedding can be cliche, but if you are looking to think outside of the box this might just be the idea for you! So if you and your dad are quirky, fun, and daring, take this idea and run with it!

Jen and Steve came to us over a year ago. Their idea was simple. They wanted a ceremony in Collingswood's Knight park and a fun reception at The Community Center immediately following. Jen and Steve did all the work, Jen designed everything from her own invitations to her bridal bouquet. She thought of everything! We were honored to ensure their day ran smoothly and were beyond thrilled when at the end of the night they couldn't stop smiling! We also loved Jen's dress-it was perfect!!!! Although Jen and Steve are the ones holding the Thank You-we want to thank them for letting us be a part of their day! Congrats Jen and Steve!!!
