There is always a story behind every couple. Some are the tralatitious love stories of falling in mad passionate love at first sight and some stories are about long ago friendships and many years passing with two people living separate lives, until their paths cross again and ignites a remembered spark. Kristin and Alex's love story follows the latter. They wanted something modern and contemporary. A venue that would, in it's own right, speak about their personalities. They are a fun, modern, chic and unique couple- Alex with a love for music and Kristin a love for Bees. aLoft in Moorestown, NJ was the perfect pick for these two. Kristin’s love for bees was portrayed throughout the wedding with little touches of honey combs on their invitations, ring bearers carried one blue bee and one pink bee as the ring pillows and on their gorgeous ombre cake sat two bees kissing. Alex’s love for music was also present; their guest book was a cobalt blue electric guitar. As unique a couple as Kristin and Alex are they actually revived an old tradition from the Roman Catholic church where the bride and groom enter and walk down the aisle together symbolizing their complementary role in their marriage. Although their ceremony was not held in a church, it was an awesome way to enter their future lives together. Kristin and Alex said their "I Dos" in front of a white, antique, upright piano (another nod to Alex’s love for music) that was adorned with black and white pictures of family members past. Their vows each written on their own and left no dry eyes in the house. Their reception was just as spectacular in presentation as their ceremony. The walls and ceilings up lit in fuchsia. Guest table linens were cobalt blue with fuchsia napkins while their sweetheart table was fabulously trimmed with a tulle, fuchsia skirt made by the bride. It was a day that we, as planners, looked forward to since the day we met them. It was an honor to be a part of their planning process and to share in their most special day. -Meghan photos by Kevin York Photography
Over the past few years Meghan and I have acquired quite and array of items. We often visit antique stores, yard sales and have even been known to pick up stuff right on the side of the road, better known as "trash picking." We recently had a bride who literally gave us all of their beautiful centerpieces, we were on cloud nine. Our office is beginning to get full, and a small storage unit will most likely have to be rented in the near future. And, if you know anything about Meghan and me, our storage unit would look more like a showroom!
With that said, we want our couples and potential couples to know that when you book our "Perfect Plan" package or our "Complete Package" these items are complimentary for you to use on your wedding day. That's right, no rental fees, no ridiculous delivery or set up fees, just simply FREE. We love design and even more we love saving couples money. Our office is a mess, but its worth every penny! -Kristin Kristin and I met Dani Jill and her mother Molly via Skype in April 2012 while Dani Jill was visiting her Mom on vacation in Florida. Dani Jill knew exactly what she wanted but lived in Texas and was planning on having her wedding in New Jersey at her soon to be mother-in-law’s farm. Dani Jill had most of what she envisioned for her wedding day pinned on Pinterest (oh, technology...still amazes me!). With her ideas and ours we helped plan the perfect day. Kristin and I knew the exact bridal bouquet she wanted and what she wanted for centerpieces, so in order to help ease some of costs that comes with a wedding we offered to make her bouquet as well as her bridesmaids bouquets, boutonnieres for the groom, groomsman, and fathers as well as the wrist corsages for the Mothers and Grandmothers. For the centerpieces, Dani Jill’s family had mason jars and we had flowers and twine! Dani Jill also wanted a fun way to display her escort cards and favors (lottery tickets) and I had an old, glass paned door…perfect match. Kristin and I roughed up the door by sanding all the edges then strung twine in horizontal rows down the door and using the teeniest, tiniest, clothespins everything came together. We could not have had anymore fun planning this wedding and anymore fun with Dani Jill and Aaron’s families. Aaron’s Mothers farm was breath taking and so was the bride! This day started with two families coming together and ended with homemade Strawberry Wine and Moonshine! -Meghan Photography by: Studio Blue
