Maggie and Eric had one of the coolest venues for their ceremony, The German Society of Pennsylvania rooted in Philadelphia's Old City. With a venue filled with books, how can you go wrong? That's right, you can't! After Maggie and Eric's beautiful ceremony lead by Maggie's Aunt, the guests began the party in Philadelphia's Manayunk neighborhood at the Manayunk Brewing Company - a great venue made even cooler by the awesome decor by Creative Eventology. I mean...wedding dress and books...swoon! Middle Earth escort board...first-rate! Thank you Maggie and Eric for sharing your special of your beautiful day! We often fall in love with our couples, it's true. And Carolyn and Francis were no exception. From the moment we met them at their family's home in Cherry Hill, NJ we knew that Francis and Carolyn were a perfect fit for Kyle Michelle Weddings. With her beaming face and infectious laugh Carolyn told us that she wanted a lively backyard wedding for her big day and we were more than eager to make her dream a reality. Believe it or not, it all started with a Pinterest board and the rest is history! Flowers and cocktails and tacos, oh my! While we loved the process of planning the entire wedding, we were ecstatic to watch the entire day unfold in front of our eyes. The backyard tent provided a perfectly romantic setting for Carolyn and Francis to recite their vows in front of their friends and family and the invitations even doubled as fans - although, the last-minute fans we ordered helped a lot with the heat as well! After the charming ceremony commenced with kisses and clapping, the guests were lead to the front yard for a fun cocktail hour to enjoy each other's company and, of course, munch on some tacos. Totally cool and totally tasty! Carolyn was blessed with a big family - just look at that taco line! We couldn't have been more excited to reveal the reception decorations to Carolyn, Francis, and their guests. While everyone else was busy enjoying the spirits and tacos, the Kyle Michelle team was hard at work in the backyard transforming the ceremony site into a proper place to dine and party. In the weeks leading up to her wedding, Carolyn was hard at work completing numerous DYI wedding projects that worked perfectly with our plan for the reception's set-up. Check out the colorful banner pictured below as well as the table numbers! And of course no wedding is complete without a ... donut? Yes, a donut! Instead of taking the traditional route in their choice of wedding dessert, Carolyn and Francis opted for a fun pastry that would compliment the backyard theme of their wedding. If you look long enough, you'll be able to spot the infamous bacon donut - don't knock it till you try it! While the wedding guests were on their way back for their second (or third) helpings of donuts, Little Baby's Ice showed up and pretty much knocked all of us off our feet with their flavors. With chocolate salt malt, bourbon bourbon vanilla, and cherry hibiscus, our only problem was picking which one to try first. Once the party started there was no stopping it! After dinner, the pattern for many of the guests became dance, donut, ice cream, dance, drink, donut, ice cream, and repeat. Carolyn's father put a number of hours into stringing lights throughout the tent and once the sun began to go down the lights allowed the party to keep going! We are so grateful to have been able to spend such a glorious night with a truly amazing couple - we love you Carolyn and Francis and we wish you a lifetime of happiness!
The best way, in my humble opinion, to begin the story of Lindsey and Doug is to give you a quote from Shakespeare (after all, he did pen the greatest love story of all time), "My love is deep; the more I give to thee, the more I have...". Lindsey and Doug's wedding was a classic tale of a girl who loved a boy (and books) and a boy who loved her back. It was just so evident when we met Lindsey and Doug in person for the first time (we had a few Skype dates prior), how much they loved one another. We walked through their reception venue with them at the Moorestown Community House and chatted about how we could make her vision of books and flowers and love come to life in this English/Colonial mansion built in 1923. Yep, DONE! Lindsey and I shared in our affinity for novels and our respect and admiration of the great Authors who penned the classics. I was super jazzed to help plan their literary tale. I mean, is this anything but complete and utter love?? Their stunning head table and moss initials above the fire place. Sister/Maid of Honor rapped her own words to JayZ's Empire State of Mind with the bridesmaids as her back up singers. Video is below (no judging...it's an iPhone video!) Lindsey & Doug, we can not thank you enough for allowing us to be a part of your awesome day! Congratulations again!! And another big thanks to Tami Melissa Photography for the amazing photos, Lovesick, Inc. for the awesome music and for making the guests sweat from dancing and to Moorestown Community House for the gorgeous venue! This wedding is one of those weddings where every single element had a personal touch from the bride and groom. Emily and Mark really threw themselves into making sure every detail was perfect. Our first phone call with Emily and Mark we realized how cool this couple was and how magnetic their day was going to be. As we started planning ideas out with Emily through Pinterest we saw all of the awesome ideas that Emily had and we had our fingers crossed that she would be up to under taking it all. Oh boy, was she ever! From the insanely awesome Popcorn Bar to the self-made photo booth, kids table and eco-friendly bamboo tableware, Emily nailed it! And if you’re more interested in the dress, don’t worry, she slayed it in that area too! The most amazing escort cards ever! "And you thought that high school math would never come in handy" The super amazing popcorn bar garnished with an assortment of toppings to make your bag all your own. We just died over this kids table! And how amazing are favors that are homemade BBQ rubs?!? Emily and Mark, you rocked our socks off! We had such a brilliant time getting to know you two and your families! We are thankful to have been given the opportunity to be a part of your special day and your planning process!
