Kelly and Bryan were such an awesome couple to work with and needless to stay, they absolutely adored each other - wait til you see these photos... They got married at The Burden Kahn Mansion in New York City where the couple showed their love for books and all things out of the ordinary. She had custom table #'s from all her favorite romance novels and famously in-love characters - like Romeo & Juliet and Ross & Rachel from Friends! What better way of celebrating love then with it literally all around you? The dress... This dress is one of my favorite dresses we've seen. The dress was a show stopper with its detail in the wrap which came off at the end of the night leaving a new, hot look for the bride - 2 for the price of 1! The night ended with a magical walk through of sparklers and lots and lots of kissing! Congratulations Kelly and Bryan! This wedding is one of those weddings where every single element had a personal touch from the bride and groom. Emily and Mark really threw themselves into making sure every detail was perfect. Our first phone call with Emily and Mark we realized how cool this couple was and how magnetic their day was going to be. As we started planning ideas out with Emily through Pinterest we saw all of the awesome ideas that Emily had and we had our fingers crossed that she would be up to under taking it all. Oh boy, was she ever! From the insanely awesome Popcorn Bar to the self-made photo booth, kids table and eco-friendly bamboo tableware, Emily nailed it! And if you’re more interested in the dress, don’t worry, she slayed it in that area too! The most amazing escort cards ever! "And you thought that high school math would never come in handy" The super amazing popcorn bar garnished with an assortment of toppings to make your bag all your own. We just died over this kids table! And how amazing are favors that are homemade BBQ rubs?!? Emily and Mark, you rocked our socks off! We had such a brilliant time getting to know you two and your families! We are thankful to have been given the opportunity to be a part of your special day and your planning process! We wish you the best! Venue: Croft Farms Photographer: Lauren Schwarz Photography DJ: Lovesick, Inc. Caterer: Rodes Catering Flowers: Heirloom Weddings Numerous brides have recently approached us with the same question: “Where do we start?” With all the different parts that comprise wedding planning, it can easily become overwhelming trying to decide what comes first. Most couples become stumped after going through the basics: style, budget, guest list, timetable, etc. The following tasks are listed in order of what we recommend should be done first: Hire a Planner For those brides that have asked us this question, they’re on the right track already! Hiring a wedding planner is this first step to planning a wedding, and can alleviate unnecessary stress encountered during the planning. More details on the importance of hiring a wedding planner are detailed in this post. Book the Venue Wedding venues tend to fill up very quickly these days and many venues host only one wedding a day, making it even harder to score your dream date. Once the wedding date is established, it then becomes possible to book and hire the other vendors involved. Another reason the venue plays a large part in the planning process is that it will set the tone for the entire wedding, including the style and atmosphere. Round Up the Professionals Prioritize vendor categories! For example, is photography or florals more important to you? Many top wedding vendors are hired over a year in advance and although some are able to double book, not all vendors offer this possibility. As soon the importance of each vendor is decided, start booking and signing those contracts! Shop til you Drop Although choosing a wedding dress is probably one of the most anticipated aspects of planning a wedding, the above are more time sensitive. Go shopping not just for the dress, but shoes and jewels! ...So what are you waiting for?? Get planning!
