Where do we event start? Should we begin with the first 2 weddings we planned during the COVID era, or just hop right on in with the 3rd & 4th one? Sometimes the fourth time around is absolutely the charm! When we met Brianna and Conor, we toured so many gorgeous venues in NYC that offered blank spaces that we could make into whatever we wanted. Brianna did not want a traditional ballroom and bring the first one in both of their families to get married, they wanted the venue to be fun and speak to their energetic and curious nature. So, after seeing all of the venues, they finally settled on Pier Sixty in Manhattan. The views alone could sell anyone - you don't get a lot of that in NYC. June 2020 here they come... just kidding. So, like so many other couples we pushed to August of 2020. Surely, things will be cleared up by then. And then not so much. So, we waited and made no moves for a while. Waiting to see how the city and the pandemic played out. With luck on their side, we were able to secure Hempstead House at Sands Point on Long Island for September 4th, 2021. The absolute gorgeous mansion on the Long Island Sound. But, wait, ceremony was still taking place at Fordham University. It's where the two of them met and one of the most special places in their lives. With Fordham University being in the Bronx, we tried to plan for every possible hiccup with moving 175 people from the Bronx to Long Island on Labor Day weekend. And then - there's more. The week of the wedding, everything was feeling like a lot of moving parts and Conor's parents were nervous about moving that many people all around New York City so, we planned the 4th version of the Woodward/O'Shea wedding. Small family ceremony at Fordham University followed by a ceremony now taking place at Hempstead House for the 175 guests who were no longer going to make the trek to the Bronx. The fourth time was definitely the charm. It needed to happen the way it happened. The day was absolutely perfect and we can not imagine it any other way. 990 Days from when we started all of this planning, Brianna and Conor were finally able to say, "I Do"!
