Kyle Michelle Weddings Blog
I wanted to show off these amazing, trendy and unique dresses that some of our 2019 - 2020 brides have completely rocked! What we love about making this blog is that societal norm with wedding dresses, no longer exists- different is key! There are now dress changes in the middle of the celebration for a new, sleek and fun look, brides are no longer restricted to simply wearing white, and some are even spicing it up with cool colored heels, different hairstyles or even topping it off with spicy red lips. AHH, I just live for this content...
Feast your eyes!
Emily looked stunning in this pure white wedding gown, but not only did the kill the game in this classic gown, but in the middle of the reception she changed into a shorter and comfier couture dress paired with flats for a more fun and party look!
"I knew I loved the designer and knew that I wanted an embellished type dress, and honestly, the stylist I worked with really nailed it. I only tried on about six dresses total because when I tried this one on, literally nothing else compared!"
Emilys custom designed wedding dress was created by Sweet Caroline Styles. She knew she wanted a statement piece so they made a detachable skirt that she wore during the ceremony and then slipped it off for the reception. It is so cool and unique to see the sketches and then see the final project.
"I loved my dress for so many reasons!
1. The design! I loved that it was whimsical, with botanical looking lace. It was sexy with the low back but still sweet with the light pink in the skirt.
2. It was convertible! The skirt came off and it became the perfect simple, dancing dress"
Oh Kelly, where do I begin with this amazing dress? It was the prettiest shade of nude with breathtaking details in the wrap - but even when that wrap came off in the middle of the night, she looked sleek, sexy and stunning!
"One of our first stops was to Bridal Reflections on 5th Avenue. I tried on the Magnolia almost immediately and loved it so much! I told myself to keep looking only because it was day 1 and dress shopping couldn’t be that easy, could it? The following weekend we cancelled our appointments and only made one with Bridal Reflections and once I put the Magnolia back on was an easy, “say yes to the dress” moment."
Leah was simplistic and insanely classy with this unique off-the-shoulder wedding gown. I wish I had a picture of what she changed too after this gown - it was a tight and sexy, white, lace jumpsuit so that she could continue to dance the night away!
This dress was amazing in every way possible and no only fit Linley like a glove, but fit her personality as well.
"I always wanted to do feathers, because I fell in love with a dress that had feathers on it while I was dress shopping, but Priscilla Costa made me one I liked even more! I also loved how comfortable it was, this was important to me because I knew that I wanted to be able to dance and have fun. I think it was the perfect winter wonderland dress and I couldn’t have loved it more."
Marty's dress was pure elegance, but what we loved about even more was her strive to make a bang with her pop of red lipstick.
"When I started trying on wedding gowns, I gravitated towards gowns with a lot of details, but when I looked in the mirror, I only saw the dress — not me IN the dress. So after two unsuccessful appointments, I did a 180 and asked to see some clean and simple gowns. That did it! When I put on my Vera Wang gown for the first time, I saw myself as a bride marrying my husband. It was timeless, elegant, and sexy, and I felt beautiful. The gown allowed me to shine!"
Melissa was a vision in this strapless dress with blush undertone - she was a real live princess against the NYC sunset.
"I did not have a clear vision of my wedding dress before I started looking and was surprised that I found my dress so quickly. When I tried this Monique dress on during my first day looking, I knew it was the one. I loved the soft, romantic vibe that this dress gives off with the lace and blush undertone. I never envisioned myself wearing a big ballgown, but when else besides your wedding day do you get to wear a dress like this?!"
This gown was absolute perfection for a classy and elegant wedding. The front of this dress looks simple but the back of it was so unique with a huge bow that literally made the dress.
"I knew I wanted a dress that felt classic with a Southern feel to compliment my tented venue and magnolia leaf greenery. When I saw this bow, I fell in love!"
As we're waiting for the amazing shots from the ceremony and reception - we wanted to give you guys a tour of the tents and the transformation of the property. This firefly themed wedding was full of tipi tents, colorful florals, textured rugs and a variety of vintage furniture. Each tent was unique with its own food station, aesthetic and purpose - there was so much to do and so much to see! One tent had bohemian wicker basket light features while the other had classy chandeliers, all 3 set-ups had different cultured foods including; Japanese, Mexican, American, Italian etc. The tents also had photo booth opportunities, bars, fireplaces, there was a huge dance floor in the middle of the property and various lounge areas around the lawn. This wedding was the most spectacular, EPIC and unique wedding we have ever done... We wish we could experience it all over again - maybe as guests this time???
And not to mention, we fell in love with this couple and their amazing families!
Okay let me shut up now and leave the pictures to do all of the talking...

Having a wedding at your family home is such a unique experience and it made Cassie and Luke's day even more special. The renovated barn in Pilesgrove, NJ was so picturesque it would be a surprise to anyone that it wasn't an actual wedding venue. We were here for Cassie's sister LeeAnn's wedding and couldn't wait to work with another member of the family! The weather was perfect and the party atmosphere didn't stop all night. Take a look at this amazing wedding!
The bouquets were a perfect match to the burgundy bridesmaids dresses.
The barn with the hanging greenery is everything!!
Thank you Cassie and Luke for letting us be a part of your special day!!
When first met LeeAnn and Matt, they came to our office to sit down and discuss the potential of us working together in planning their wedding. As LeeAnn walked us through her vision for the day, she mentioned that she was holding the reception in her parent’s barn. The barn was currently being used to house tractors, one being hers that her father fixed up so she could race – yes race, and the barn was too small to hold her estimated guest count of 250. Well, ask and you shall receive. LeeAnn’s dad decided he needed a larger barn anyway, and his daughter’s wedding was a good enough excuse to make it happen.
Such sweet moments captured at Lee Ann's church she grew up going to!
Josiah & Steph did such a great job capturing all of Lee Ann and Matt's special moments!!
Who knew a family barn could be transformed into such a beautiful venue? We did!!
Gorgeous floral design done by A Garden Party!
Such a genuine moment! Matt signing Lee Ann's favorite song!
Time Of Your Life Entertainment kept these guests on their feet all night!
Sparklers added such a nice touch for guests to send this couple off!
We are lucky to meet people from all over the globe and help them marry their soulmates, but it was an absolute pleasure meeting with LeeAnn, Matt and their families throughout the entire process. You’d be hard pressed to find sweeter people.
Thank you Lee Ann and Matt for letting us be apart of your special day! We wish you nothing but the best in this new chapter of your lives!

The view, the tent, the flowers, the house! Suzanne and Adam's wedding day was nothing less than perfect. Both the ceremony and the reception took place on June 7th at Suzanne's father's house, which he built himself in a small town in New Jersey, just off of the Delaware River. The pictures aren't exaggerating - Suzanne and Adam said their "I Do's" under a gorgeous flowered canopy set less than twenty feet from the water. The weather could not have been more beautiful for a June wedding; the day began with minimal clouds and ended with a truly incredible sunset.
Here comes the bride! When we first saw Suzanne's dress, our jaws dropped. The dress was made for a summer wedding, and it fit Suzanne's personality equally as well. While Suzanne was busy getting ready, her guests were being lead to her father's backyard to take their seats for the ceremony. The bridal parties were relatively small, with the bride's sister as the maid of honor and the groom's brother as the best man. However, the groom's father made a heartfelt speech halfway through the ceremony, at which the guests both laughed and cried. In between the music and the "I Do's," Suzanne, Adam, and all of their guests (including us!) were able to admire the beauty of the Delaware, making the ceremony even more romantic!
Once the reception ended, the guests were lead into Suzanne's father's house to enjoy the cocktail hour spread along with a few drinks. Meanwhile, the happy couple went down to the rocks of the river for their photo-shoot.
We often fall in love with our couples, it's true. And Carolyn and Francis were no exception.
From the moment we met them at their family's home in Cherry Hill, NJ we knew that Francis and Carolyn were a perfect fit for Kyle Michelle Weddings. With her beaming face and infectious laugh Carolyn told us that she wanted a lively backyard wedding for her big day and we were more than eager to make her dream a reality. Believe it or not, it all started with a Pinterest board and the rest is history!
Flowers and cocktails and tacos, oh my! While we loved the process of planning the entire wedding, we were ecstatic to watch the entire day unfold in front of our eyes. The backyard tent provided a perfectly romantic setting for Carolyn and Francis to recite their vows in front of their friends and family and the invitations even doubled as fans - although, the last-minute fans we ordered helped a lot with the heat as well!
After the charming ceremony commenced with kisses and clapping, the guests were lead to the front yard for a fun cocktail hour to enjoy each other's company and, of course, munch on some tacos. Totally cool and totally tasty!
Carolyn was blessed with a big family - just look at that taco line!
We couldn't have been more excited to reveal the reception decorations to Carolyn, Francis, and their guests. While everyone else was busy enjoying the spirits and tacos, the Kyle Michelle team was hard at work in the backyard transforming the ceremony site into a proper place to dine and party.
In the weeks leading up to her wedding, Carolyn was hard at work completing numerous DYI wedding projects that worked perfectly with our plan for the reception's set-up. Check out the colorful banner pictured below as well as the table numbers!
And of course no wedding is complete without a ... donut? Yes, a donut! Instead of taking the traditional route in their choice of wedding dessert, Carolyn and Francis opted for a fun pastry that would compliment the backyard theme of their wedding. If you look long enough, you'll be able to spot the infamous bacon donut - don't knock it till you try it!
While the wedding guests were on their way back for their second (or third) helpings of donuts, Little Baby's Ice showed up and pretty much knocked all of us off our feet with their flavors. With chocolate salt malt, bourbon bourbon vanilla, and cherry hibiscus, our only problem was picking which one to try first.
Once the party started there was no stopping it! After dinner, the pattern for many of the guests became dance, donut, ice cream, dance, drink, donut, ice cream, and repeat. Carolyn's father put a number of hours into stringing lights throughout the tent and once the sun began to go down the lights allowed the party to keep going!
We are so grateful to have been able to spend such a glorious night with a truly amazing couple - we love you Carolyn and Francis and we wish you a lifetime of happiness!
Where do I start? Lisa and Joe contacted us a few short months before their May wedding. They had recently moved into a beautiful house and wanted to celebrate their special day with family and friends all in their newly established home. We were more than excited to help them plan their one of a kind backyard wedding. Did I mention Lisa and Joe are extremely talented, artsy people who were more than enthusiastic to use their skills to make this DIY wedding perfect.
All the centerpieces were created by Lisa with the help from her soon-to-be MIL. She found branches in the woods behind her house and created beautiful paper flowers to adorn them with. The branches were in stone filled mason jars and set in the middle of the long tables. She also added potted succulents, rocks and a paper flower runner. My favorite part had to be the place cards- they were small potted succulents with each guests name representing exactly where they would sit on the long farm style tables.
Lisa and Joe designed their own invitations and #instagram cards tying in perfectly with the color and the idea of getting married in front of their beautiful coy pond in their backyard. Yep-I told you they were talented!
As the guests sat overlooking the coy pond Lisa processed down the stone aisle accompanied by her father. It was beautiful!
Now it's time to party! The kids had their own party happening in the basement- a great idea if you're having a lots of kids. They had their own food and DJ-perfect to keep 20 kids entertained and enjoying the night!
While the kids partied, the adults ate amazing food and listened to a live band while enjoying the beautiful scenery. The groom even got in on the action-singing to his bride!
The day was perfect, the decor was stunning and Lisa and Joe said "I DO" in front of family and friends in the comfort of their new home!
