I don't even know where to begin.
Okay, I'll start with the obvious, they are an absolutely gorgeous couple. (Seriously, you find yourself wondering if you stand close enough will it rub off?!) But these two are so much more than their really, really, ridiculous good looks.
We met Amanda and Andrew via Skype, since they were living in Hong Kong at the time. They were enjoying a nice glass of wine and me, a nice cup of Joe.
In our first Skype chat, Andrew gave me a short (but UBER sweet) explanation of how their paths crossed. Andrew is from and was working in Australia. News that he was being transferred to NYC came and he was pretty pumped at the idea. At the last minute, his transfer ended up being changed to Hong Kong. Amanda is from America and was working in NYC. That is until her job offered her a position in Hong Kong. Both, expats, living in Hong Kong, Andrew found his NYC girl.
Quite possibly one of the sweetest, most loving families we have had the pleasure to work with.
Does this reception not remind you of the Cleary wedding in Wedding Crashers?
Amanda and Andrew have been able to experience so many different countries together. City names that they visited together were used for their table numbers.
Thank you, Amanda and Andrew, for sharing your Friday evenings with me over Skype. Cheers (me with coffee, you with wine) to the happiest future!
Swapping out flower bouquets for another alternative can enhance your theme, make your wedding unique, and even save you some money. You can use these different bouquets for your bridal party, a flower girl, or make your own look stand out with a contrasting bouquet.
This wedding is one of those weddings where every single element had a personal touch from the bride and groom. Emily and Mark really threw themselves into making sure every detail was perfect. Our first phone call with Emily and Mark we realized how cool this couple was and how magnetic their day was going to be.
As we started planning ideas out with Emily through Pinterest we saw all of the awesome ideas that Emily had and we had our fingers crossed that she would be up to under taking it all. Oh boy, was she ever!
From the insanely awesome Popcorn Bar to the self-made photo booth, kids table and eco-friendly bamboo tableware, Emily nailed it! And if you’re more interested in the dress, don’t worry, she slayed it in that area too!
The most amazing escort cards ever!
"And you thought that high school math would never come in handy"
The super amazing popcorn bar garnished with an assortment of toppings to make your bag all your own.
We just died over this kids table! And how amazing are favors that are homemade BBQ rubs?!?
Emily and Mark, you rocked our socks off! We had such a brilliant time getting to know you two and your families! We are thankful to have been given the opportunity to be a part of your special day and your planning process! We wish you the best!

Where do I start? Lisa and Joe contacted us a few short months before their May wedding. They had recently moved into a beautiful house and wanted to celebrate their special day with family and friends all in their newly established home. We were more than excited to help them plan their one of a kind backyard wedding. Did I mention Lisa and Joe are extremely talented, artsy people who were more than enthusiastic to use their skills to make this DIY wedding perfect.
All the centerpieces were created by Lisa with the help from her soon-to-be MIL. She found branches in the woods behind her house and created beautiful paper flowers to adorn them with. The branches were in stone filled mason jars and set in the middle of the long tables. She also added potted succulents, rocks and a paper flower runner. My favorite part had to be the place cards- they were small potted succulents with each guests name representing exactly where they would sit on the long farm style tables.
Lisa and Joe designed their own invitations and #instagram cards tying in perfectly with the color and the idea of getting married in front of their beautiful coy pond in their backyard. Yep-I told you they were talented!
As the guests sat overlooking the coy pond Lisa processed down the stone aisle accompanied by her father. It was beautiful!
Now it's time to party! The kids had their own party happening in the basement- a great idea if you're having a lots of kids. They had their own food and DJ-perfect to keep 20 kids entertained and enjoying the night!
While the kids partied, the adults ate amazing food and listened to a live band while enjoying the beautiful scenery. The groom even got in on the action-singing to his bride!
The day was perfect, the decor was stunning and Lisa and Joe said "I DO" in front of family and friends in the comfort of their new home!
