As we're waiting for the amazing shots from the ceremony and reception - we wanted to give you guys a tour of the tents and the transformation of the property. This firefly themed wedding was full of tipi tents, colorful florals, textured rugs and a variety of vintage furniture. Each tent was unique with its own food station, aesthetic and purpose - there was so much to do and so much to see! One tent had bohemian wicker basket light features while the other had classy chandeliers, all 3 set-ups had different cultured foods including; Japanese, Mexican, American, Italian etc. The tents also had photo booth opportunities, bars, fireplaces, there was a huge dance floor in the middle of the property and various lounge areas around the lawn. This wedding was the most spectacular, EPIC and unique wedding we have ever done... We wish we could experience it all over again - maybe as guests this time??? And not to mention, we fell in love with this couple and their amazing families! Okay let me shut up now and leave the pictures to do all of the talking... Ahhhhhhhhhh!! Okay, now that I got that out of the way…we LOVE this couple!!! Ariana and Ever were rightfully completely and unapologetically themselves throughout the entire planning process and their day reflected it perfectly! This wedding was a massive celebration (i.e. party, bash, blast, fete, merriment, etc.) of two amazing people who love each other and we can not explain how honored we were that they picked us to be a part of their day. Our first time meeting Ariana and Ever was at Old City Coffee in Philadelphia, PA. I don’t remember much of our conversation being about weddings. Instead, we chatted and laughed like old friends who hadn’t seen each other in years. We learned about each other, gossiped and realized we were in love with them. Much like the rest of Ariana and Ever's wedding, they wanted a first look that was totally them. Having their families involved was important. So what's better than having their brothers stand between them and share a moment together before stepping aside to reveal the brides to each other? Is this not perfection?!?! We were so excited to set up the ceremony in a circular fashion. Ariana and Ever wanted to make sure they were surrounded by their family and friends as they took the biggest step in their relationship. Erika and Andrew from Chicory Florals came in and worked their magic on this beautiful Chuppah. And of course, Ariana's amazingly crafty self who crocheted the Chuppah herself. During the ceremony Rabbi Linda told a story of how she asked the girls how they wanted to be presented to their family and friends and that the girls looked at one another and said, "Call us bashert, because that is what we are." (Bashert is a Yiddish word that means destiny or in terms of a spouse, soulmates.) It was so much fun setting up this wedding! The beautiful, eclectic pieces of china were collected by Ariana's mother throughout the planning process to use on their day. This picture is absolutely everything!! Thank you Carina for capturing this! Ariana & Ever, we loved being a part of the planning process with you and being with you on your day. Thank you for allowing us to share this with you! One of our favorite places for couples to get married is at their family home. Whether that is a farm, a newly purchased house to make into home, or in this case a house at the shore (I’m sorry…down the shore) on Long Beach Island. Brenna’s parents (who are beyond fabulous people) have a gorgeous house in Brant Beach on LBI – this was where Brenna wanted to celebrate her marriage. They had celebrated so many great moments in that house, it only made sense they also celebrate their perfect day. And speaking of perfect day…the weather wasn’t as perfect as we had hoped. During the rehearsal the sky opened and it seemed like it was never going to shut - to the point where the island was starting to seriously flood (eeeekkk!!). The morning of the wedding the sun was trying to peek out of the clouds but it was inevitable that we were going to see rain. This is when I officially fell in love with Brenna. The sky was falling and her reaction was a shrug of the shoulders and a “whattaya gunna do?” You go girl! You handle rain on your wedding day (and a tented reception) with that much nonchalance and grace…you are officially my new best friend! I am so obsessed with this picture! If I was only to post one picture to describe this wedding...this one may be it! We snuck/broke into a small theatre and used the only light we could find...and this happened.... Oh, and this too... And then we got caught...but they turned the lights on for us and we took one more picture! The entertainment for the cocktail hour played to the beach feel (even through the rain) of Brenna and Greg’s day, a phenomenal Reggae Band – The Verdict. Oh, and a raw bar to boot – yes, please! The reception was flawless! Two tents flanked the house, one a clear top for cocktail hour, dancing and the bands and the other a gorgeous cloth draped tent with delicate chandeliers and long farm tables embellished with floral/candles runners for dinner. This was a celebration – a party – an event! If we could bottle up everything about this wedding, we totally would and NO we won’t sell it…we would keep it for ourselves!
