The holiday season is here! And while this season puts everyone is in a better mood, wedding planners are in an especially good mood as holiday season is known as engagement season! But we think this particular time of year is beautiful for a wedding as well! Think about it.. the holidays bring out the best in everyone so all of your guest would be in a great mood and want to be around their family & friends to celebrate. So celebrating your wedding on top of all of the holidays would be like icing on the cake, amirite?! So here is our list of winter wedding do's & don'ts!
Do: Embrace it!! Especially if it is snowing because that will make for some AMAZING pictures and natural decor!!
Don't: Don't overlook transportation!! Plan ahead so you, your bridal party, family, and guests don't have to worry!
Do: Go for the long sleeves! Long sleeve wedding dresses are SO IN right now and since your wedding is in the winter you won't have to sacrifice sweating your butt off for a fashion statement!
Don't: Although your wedding is taking place during the holiday season you need to make sure you don't go too overboard with adding festive decor into the wedding. Don't get me wrong I love Christmas as much as the next person (if not more) but no one wants to look like Mrs. Claus on their wedding day!
Do: Treat yo~self to a beautiful wrap! Embrace the cold weather and be sure to take it into consideration when getting other accessories like gloves, shoes, etc.!!
Don't: Remember that it will be COLD and you don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable! So don't forget to get wraps or blankets for your bridal party and a few extra for guests!!
Do: Feel free to add evergreens and pine cones to
any and every thing but especially to your flowers!!
They create such a simple elegance.. trust me, you'll
thank me later!
Don't: For the love of God don't use colorful flowers!
They are for spring, summer, and even fall weddings
but not for yours! Embrace all of the beautiful in
Do: Think about where your venue is located and what that venue will look like in the winter months!! If you see the venue in the spring it could look like a completely different venue in the winter! Ask the venue if they have any winter look books they could show you from previous weddings at the venue.
Don't: DO NOT DO an outdoor ceremony without making sure your guest will be as comfortable as possible!!
Do: Stick to winter color palettes! Winter colors are so beautiful and this will help you coordinate invitations, linens, and flowers!
Don't: Don't make it look like that one embarrassing neighbor that "over does" their front yard with Christmas decorations. Just because you are having your wedding in a spirited time of year doesn't mean you need to have a holiday theme.
Do: Play your favorite festive music!
Don't: This is not your family Christmas party.. this is your wedding! Pick a few of your favorite holiday songs but keep it classy!
Don't: Don't forget what season your in! This is NOT summer so no one is worried about their "bikini body".
Do: With that being said bring out the comfort food!! This is the one time of year you can eat extra without feeling bad about it so bring out ALL THE GOODS!!
Happy Holidays & Engagement Season!!
Getting ready with your girls before tying the knot is one of the best parts of the day! It's so much fun getting your hair and makeup done, reminiscing about old times, and celebrating the future. So naturally, there will be so many pictures taken! Therefore, it's important to pick out outfits for this time that best represent you and your girls. Here are some of our favorite picks for EVERY type of bridal party!!
We love this idea! And the fact that rompers are so easy to slide off will eliminate any worry of messing up hair or make up!
These personalized button ups are to die for!! Pairing them with a cute pair of shorts will really complete the look!
We think flannels are such a cute idea, especially for a fall or winter wedding!! Definitely something you and your bridal party will be able to get a lot of use out of!!

It's time to break out those hats, mittens, scarves and cozy blankets because winter is coming, and we could not be more excited! In just a few short weeks winter weddings will be in full swing. In preparation for the winter wedding season we have listed our most favorite and festive winter wedding trends! Whether you are planning a cozy and intimate wedding or full force winter wedding bash these ideas will help make your special day one that your guests remember for seasons to come!
There are certain things that only work with winter weddings. Giving your guests a little taste of these once a year treats is a perfect way to say thank you for attending your special day. We love the to-go hot chocolate to keep your guests warm after your wedding ends and the unique take on succulents with festive evergreens!
Nothing screams cozy like a fur wrap or jacket for your winter wedding. Unless you live in the Caribbean for your winter wedding, chances are its going to be pretty cold. Keep yourself warm and seasonal with these looks.
Winter brings along with it rich colors and cozy fabrics. Break out the deep reds and greens for a classic Christmas look, knitted chair covers for a warm feel, or keep it sleek with all white and gold to bring the snowy outside in!
Winter is the only time you can break out the evergreen, holly and ornaments and not look like you are confused on what season it is. We absolutely love the antique ornament table numbers hung up so they act as decorations for your wedding as well!
If you are lucky enough to live in a part of the country where snow is a possibility for your winter wedding you may be able to capture adorable pictures like these! These snowy snapshots are the perfect way to capture all of the romance of your special day.
Happy almost winter!
"I felt like Cinderella...What more could a girl ask for?"
We began the day at a vintage hotel in Wilmington, Delaware where the entire wedding party was busy getting ready for the ceremony. While Chrissy was occupied putting on her white dress with the help of her bridesmaids, she and the rest of the bridal party had no idea that a wild, white snow storm had just begun outside! Fortunately, the wedding ceremony was going to take place in a charming church just minutes down the road and everyone arrived safely.
When it came time for the vows, Chrissy and Hery had come prepared with large parchment paper containing beautifully scripted speeches to each other. Their romantic words melted our hearts and brought tears to a majority of their guests' eyes - including Chrissy's father!
"Our wedding was perfect and stress free"
Even though the day began with a snow storm, it ended with heartfelt toasts and some pretty great dance moves. The reception hall was lit by over twenty golden candelabras and each of the of the thirteen tables was accented with white roses and rosemary-infused olive oil bottles for each guest. After Chrissy and Hery's lovely choreographed first dance and more heart-warming speeches, the party was ready to start! Chrissy, Hery, and all of their guests were on the dance floor the moment the music began, and didn't stop dancing until the end of the night - even the flower girl danced until her bed time.
With the cake cut and the champagne consumed, the night ended in the happiest of spirits. We are so glad to have met such a kind and loving couple and we wish Chrissy and Hery nothing but the best!
Danielle's dress was everything and the bridesmaids dresses were perfection for a New Years celebration!
We are seeing more and more of these cake toppers and we are NOT getting tired of them!

We love the planning aspect of a wedding no doubt. But what we love even more is being creative, using things that can be found around your home or in this case, in your yard! This past summer New Jersey experienced a hurricane, lots of flooding and damage in the North East. We were fortunate and we only lost a tree. My husband chopped up the tree intending to use it in the winter for our fire place. Well, that was until we met Caryn and Justin and their winter wedding! Although Caryn had done much of the work on her own, as the weeks dwindled down, Caryn asked for a little extra help, and we were more than excited to help her vision become a reality. The tree became our inspiration for their winter (not Christmas) wedding.
We are excited to see the professional picture by Images Photo Studio! It was a great winter wedding at The Crown Plaza Philadelphia.
