We are really excited to introduce the newest member of our Kyle Michelle Weddings family! Robyn grew up with two older brothers that treated her like one of the guys. Bruised knees and bumped heads were a reoccurring fashion statement for her, rather then bows and ribbons in her hair. This little lady learned to play the piano, clarinet, flute and cello; she played soccer, gymnastics, cheerleading, field hockey, track & field. As her brothers grew up and moved away, she traded in her jerseys and Oshkosh overalls for a pleated skirt and a pair of Mary Janes. Her first job was as a co-manager of a bridal boutique, where she deeply fell in love with weddings, the bride's journey and everything behind the scenes. She attended George Mason University to study Wedding Planning and Events Management, where she was able to plan her first wedding! From there she moved to Florida and California to work in the hospitality industry. She hopped on the plane at LAX with her dream and her cardigan... and soon found herself in Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love. Her boyfriend, bulldog and herself have found themselves completely smitten with South Jersey and Philadelphia. They're proud to call this home. Get to know Robyn a little more with her Q&A below: 1. Oh, I just love this wedding – this couple – these families! One of our favorite places for couples to get married is at their family home. Whether that is a farm, a newly purchased house to make into home, or in this case a house at the shore (I’m sorry…down the shore) on Long Beach Island. Brenna’s parents (who are beyond fabulous people) have a gorgeous house in Brant Beach on LBI – this was where Brenna wanted to celebrate her marriage. They had celebrated so many great moments in that house, it only made sense they also celebrate their perfect day. And speaking of perfect day…the weather wasn’t as perfect as we had hoped. During the rehearsal the sky opened and it seemed like it was never going to shut - to the point where the island was starting to seriously flood (eeeekkk!!). The morning of the wedding the sun was trying to peek out of the clouds but it was inevitable that we were going to see rain. This is when I officially fell in love with Brenna. The sky was falling and her reaction was a shrug of the shoulders and a “whattaya gunna do?” You go girl! You handle rain on your wedding day (and a tented reception) with that much nonchalance and grace…you are officially my new best friend! I am so obsessed with this picture! If I was only to post one picture to describe this wedding...this one may be it! We snuck/broke into a small theatre and used the only light we could find...and this happened.... Oh, and this too... And then we got caught...but they turned the lights on for us and we took one more picture! The entertainment for the cocktail hour played to the beach feel (even through the rain) of Brenna and Greg’s day, a phenomenal Reggae Band – The Verdict. Oh, and a raw bar to boot – yes, please! The reception was flawless! Two tents flanked the house, one a clear top for cocktail hour, dancing and the bands and the other a gorgeous cloth draped tent with delicate chandeliers and long farm tables embellished with floral/candles runners for dinner. This was a celebration – a party – an event! If we could bottle up everything about this wedding, we totally would and NO we won’t sell it…we would keep it for ourselves! From the moment we sat down, we connected to Lindsay and Adam's carefree, totally chill personalities. We bonded between laughs and concert talk, yep concert talk. Prior to hiring us, Lindsay and Adam let us know in no uncertain terms that their summers are filled with concert tours and weekend getaways. Therefore, the planning of their wedding needed to be completed prior to the summer. Any couple who spends their summer "concerting" is a couple we are happy to work with. From meetings with our florist, A Garden Party, to venue tours at The Chelsea, we knew exactly how Lindsay and Adam's dream wedding would look and feel. The vibe was chill, the ceremony heartfelt, the food was great and the party was perfect! The ladies of Art Is, were fantastic!!! Lindsay and her entire bridal party looked amazing! They say it takes a village to raise a family, I say it takes a bridal party to get into your wedding dress! It's a first look - love! (Could they smile any bigger?) An art deco inspired escort card display-perfect for a little glitz and glam! These floral's from A Garden Party completely complimented the art deco/all natural feel Lindsay was going for. And then there is this epic ring picture from Russ Hickman Photography - BRILLIANT!!!! The wedding was perfection, Lovesick Inc. kept Lindsay and Adam on the dance floor all night long! We are so happy for the newlyweds!
