A guest book is a tangible memory of your wedding that you can keep and look over for years after. Use it as an opportunity to capture the feel of your special night, and also as a way to showcase the individual personalities and quirks of your guests.
-Colleen Blair and Kevin's wedding at the romantic Smithville Inn was every wedding planner's, florist's, and photographer's dream; the entire atmosphere of the wedding was truly breathtaking. Blair's art deco dress completed the vintage, 1920s-inspired celebration - we couldn't resist taking pictures of it ourselves! Blair and Kevin had so much fun getting photographed in various locations including the gardens, a merry-go-round, an ice cream shop, and a gorgeous barn before heading to the ceremony.
After the nuptials, all of the guests were led to an outdoor cocktail hour where three differing specialty cocktails were served, which are Blair and Kevin's favorite drinks. At the reception, while the guests were pre-occupied with the photo booth, Blair couldn't resist playing with our walkie-talkies! With the endless dance moves of the entire wedding party, the night was one to remember. Congratulations again Blair and Kevin, we love you! It was on a brisk November day when Amanda and Bo, along with all of their family and friends, came together at the Rose Bank Winery in Newtown, PA for their beautiful wedding day. Their celebration was just as romantic as the not-so-blind date that brought them together at a local bar. Although they had already met four years earlier, the friends who set Amanda and Bo up did not know this when they planned to set the two up. "We look back on it now and call it fate,” Amanda reminisces. The Kyle Michelle Weddings team truly loved helping Amanda and Bo plan their special day - they were a delight to work with every step of the way! The rustic, romantic celebration was the quintessential example of the perfect fall wedding. Once both Amanda and Bo had finished getting dressed, they were ready (and nervous!) for their first look. Not surprisingly, the two were naturals in front of the camera - Emily Wren did an incredible job capturing their loving, kind personalities! After the photoshoot was over the couple and all of their guests headed over to St. Andrew’s Catholic Church for their ceremony. After returning to the Rose Bank Winery for the reception, guests found their place cards attached to seasonal mini white pumpkins. Once dinner had been served and the maid-of-honor and best man had presented their speeches, the reception hall became consumed music and dancing thanks to the talented workings of Lovesick Inc - we couldn’t keep our own feet from dancing! The guests also all had a great time taking pictures in The Little Picture Photobooth until the delicious pumpkin and honey lavender cake was served. Amanda and Bo - we wish you nothing but an incredible life filled with happiness and love, enjoy it together! Let's face it, the best kind of bar is a snack bar. Food bars are a popular trend at weddings that serve as a fun way to keep guests satisfied and enjoying the reception. These simple food stations are a unique compliment to any wedding menu. Keep your guests snacking and add a twist with these food bars we love! The Popcorn BarCreate a fun, rustic vibe by filling large tins or buckets with popcorn and set up shakers of different spices and flavors for guests to pick and choose their preference. Add bowls filled with “mix-ins” like M&Ms, chocolate chips and peanuts. Use decorative bags or Chinese takeout containers for guests to fill up and take with them to their table or on the ride home. The Cookie BarCookies are a traditional and simple dessert that everyone is guaranteed to enjoy. Fill large glass cookie jars or tins with a wide variety of cookies. Adding milk to the display, in a large glass dispenser or individual cartons, creates the perfect pair. Everyone is sure to gather around this food bar after dinner. The only thing that goes better together than milk and cookies is you and your groom! The S'more BarPerfect for a fall or winter wedding, a s'more bar adds a warm and cozy vibe to any wedding style and offers guests a homestyle treat. Create a spin on the traditional s'more by including chocolate like Reese's cups and other candy bars to add extra flavors! The Candy Apple BarEmbrace the season with this candy apple station, ideal for a fall wedding and sure to delight guests. Provide apples on a stick, melted caramel and chocolate as well as an array of toppings for guests to coat their candied apple. The color combination of the apples and candy make for a bright display.
Growing old together is something you consider when you decide you want to spend the rest of your life with someone. But, what if you got a glimpse of what your significant other will look like over the next 60 years, just one month before you wed? One couple got the makeover of a lifetime as they experienced decades of aging together with the help of life-like makeup and prosthetics in this short viral video featured on Buzzfeed. The newly married couple viewed the final video together just 12 hours after their wedding and things got emotional. If watching this couple experience growing old together wasn't enough to make your eyes water, Kristie mentions that her mom thought the most interesting part of the whole process was that she would get to see what her daughter and son-in-law will look like at ages she probably won't be around to experience with them. We envision our parents being around for every milestone in our lives and forget the reality that we will outlive the people who have loved and supported us since the very beginning. The couple's reactions start out fun and light-hearted as they see each other at age 50 for the first time. Tavis exclaims, "Wow, I hope you look like this!" At age 70, Kristie laughs, " I look like my Grandmother! Oh, I did not age well." Then the reality of seeing the other age decades begins to set in and the couple starts to get emotional. Kristie says that when she looks at Tavis like this she just thinks about all that will have happened between now and then. "We'll have children...and grandchildren." Seeing Tavis at age 90 gives her a sense of comfort. They both feel as though the process just affirms the feeling that you know you're supposed to be with this person for the rest of your life. *Dries eyes* The best part of helping a couple plan their big day is knowing how excited they are to celebrate the beginning of their new life together, and for all of the adventure to come. "I felt like Cinderella...What more could a girl ask for?" We began the day at a vintage hotel in Wilmington, Delaware where the entire wedding party was busy getting ready for the ceremony. While Chrissy was occupied putting on her white dress with the help of her bridesmaids, she and the rest of the bridal party had no idea that a wild, white snow storm had just begun outside! Fortunately, the wedding ceremony was going to take place in a charming church just minutes down the road and everyone arrived safely. When it came time for the vows, Chrissy and Hery had come prepared with large parchment paper containing beautifully scripted speeches to each other. Their romantic words melted our hearts and brought tears to a majority of their guests' eyes - including Chrissy's father! "Our wedding was perfect and stress free" Even though the day began with a snow storm, it ended with heartfelt toasts and some pretty great dance moves. The reception hall was lit by over twenty golden candelabras and each of the of the thirteen tables was accented with white roses and rosemary-infused olive oil bottles for each guest. After Chrissy and Hery's lovely choreographed first dance and more heart-warming speeches, the party was ready to start! Chrissy, Hery, and all of their guests were on the dance floor the moment the music began, and didn't stop dancing until the end of the night - even the flower girl danced until her bed time. With the cake cut and the champagne consumed, the night ended in the happiest of spirits. We are so glad to have met such a kind and loving couple and we wish Chrissy and Hery nothing but the best!
