We fell in love with this couple, their families and with the entirety of this wedding. Lauren and Justin, while living in Doha, Qatar (yes, you read that correctly) contacted us looking for help in planning their South Jersey wedding. They wanted to hold the entire event on Justin's family farm. We, without hesitation, jumped at the chance to to help them bring their amazing vision to life. With the help of our talented vendor friends we succeeded in creating one of the most unique weddings to date. And we think you'll agree. And guys, up until 8:00pm the day before this wedding, there was 100% chance that South Jersey was going to get pummeled by Hurricane Hermine!!! When your family owns 150 acres, you get married there, it's just what you do. You should also have your bridal party stay in tents on said property, equip with dressers, beds and lighting. Under Canvas Events tents are like a hotel room, only better when you can step outside and sit by a camp fire under the stars. And then there are the beautiful reception tents and when we say beautiful- we mean epically spectacular. Faye and Renee nailed the floral's including the floral crowns.
The perfect flower girl accessory for a farm girl! And then this munchkin... Lauren surprised Justin, (and all the guests) by arriving on a white horse. There wasn't a dry eye that afternoon. Maggpie Vintage added the perfect touch of textiles. A nod to their home in Qatar. Just six hours before, their ceremony was fully covered with a tent and walls. Prepared for the winds and rain accompanying Hurricane Hermine. Guests prayed and danced in hopes of changing Hermine's course. It worked!! Lauren and Justin's guests were from a brilliant array of countries. England, Ireland, America, Turks and Caicos, and Qatar were all represented at this wedding. The guests were escorted to cocktail hour on Justin's father's tractor. As the tractor pulled away the guests erupted in cheers of excitement. Guests were pleasantly surprised to be sharing their cocktail hour with a gaggle of cows. The old fashioned photo booth was the perfect backdrop to the very cool seating chart hand made by the groom. Joshua's Catering was the perfect match for this couple and their creative cuisine. One of our favorite parts of this wedding - areas of carpets with pillows set up around the campfire. A little bit of an Arabian feel. Seriously, these two are just cool. Arriving to their reception in an old Ford. Handmade dance floor by Char Co. was the perfect addition to this custom wedding. Looking back to when Lauren, Justin and I Skyped, I truly couldn't have imagined this wedding coming together as well as it did. Their vision became a reality and we loved being a part of such a truly custom wedding. Sometimes you have to throw out the norms and do what speaks to you. Lauren and Justin got married where they wanted and did it exactly how they wanted. They trusted us to find them wedding professionals who knew how to make their vision come to life. We can't thank them enough for giving us the opportunity to get to know them, their friends and their families.
We would do this exact wedding over and over again! ~Kristin and Meghan Venue: Private Farm in Salem, NJ Wedding Planners: Kyle Michelle Weddings Tenting: Under Canvas Events Photographer: Lovesick DJ: Lovesick Caterer: Joshua's Catering Florist: Faye and Renee Rentals: Maggpie Vintage Photo Booth: Classic Photo Booth Transportation: Sheppard Bus Hair & Make-Up: Taffeta Hair and Make-Up Design Dance Floor: Char.
