It's August 5th, 2021 and an email comes in describing one of the coolest ideas for a wedding we've heard but, the date is for October 2021. Two months time. Two months time in the craziest year the wedding industry has seen in the 10 years we've been in business! So, of course we said, "Hell yeah! Let's do this!" Eryka and Lanny's favorite vacation ever was a trip they took to Tanzania and went on safari. And, in a world that didn't involve the dreaded COVID, they would have hosted their wedding at a safari resort with their families and friends. And, well, since we all don't know that world anymore, they decided to bring a safari to Long Island, NY. On a private property, in the middle of Huntington, NY with 2 months to prepare we had a ceremony in an old amphitheater, cocktail hour in a man-made stone "house", tipi tents, 6 vintage land rovers to escort guests around the property (ya know, like safari vehicles), a zebra and camel in the brush so that when guests were in their vehicles moving around the property, they drove past the animals like they were on safari. This was a really fun one to design and plan. Most importantly, thank you to the incredible vendors who were miraculously available and willing to jump in feet first with us - you're the real ones!
